Swansea Buoys Reconnect

Large Scale Floating Installation

Swansea Buoys Reconnect is a large colourful sculpture (70 x 60 metres) created from water buoys to reflect Swansea’s rich maritime history. Through a series of 'Light Drawing' workshops with the communities of St Thomas, Grenfell Park and Port Tennant as part of the SA1 Swansea Waterfront Public Art Programme, Tine explored the history and memories of the local community.

Lines of buoys intersect with the reflection of a bridge, creating a colourful floating art.
