Lunchtime talk at the Pervasive Media Studio

Tine Bech: Playful experiences for curious visitors

Friday 14 September 2012 at 1.00pm – 2:00pm

Lunchtime Talks is part of the Pervasive Media Studio in Bristols Open Studio Friday.
In this talk Tine will introduce her latest projects, including the challenges she has faced creating artistic works that utilise indoor sensing systems. She will also describe how development of artistic projects inform her doctoral practice-based research at the Digital Cultures Research Centre, which focuses on: the development of a model for making playful and interactive artworks; and the creation of a directory of play, demonstrating the different kinds of play that are initiated through interactive artwork. Ultimately, the model aims to encourage audience engagement through play and physical participation. With a presentation from Tine and (if it’s working in time) a project demo, this is set to be an inspiring session.
