Created by Tine Bech Studio, this 6-meter inflatable sculpture is created with NASA photos of earth. The artwork is visually striking and deliberately attention-grabbing. The unconventional representation of our planet challenges traditional perceptions and immediately engages viewers, prompting them to reconsider their relationship with the environment.
The artwork plays with language, using a well-known British idiom “gone pear shaped” meaning something has gone wrong, taken a disastrous turn. “The world has gone pear-shaped” sculpture is a reference to the ‘climate gone wrong’ on our planet.
