Dreaming of You is an immersive sound and light installation in which floating clouds gather children’s voices, dreams and questions about technology and the future.
Suspended within the theatre at The Hullabaloo, the glowing clouds move through colour and sound, creating a dreamlike environment that invites visitors of all ages to pause, listen and imagine.
Co-created with children, the artwork brings together their thoughts about the internet, artificial intelligence and the technologies shaping their lives. Their voices form a living soundscape that travels through the installation like weather moving across the sky. With every new conversation and exhibition, the cloud gathers more voices and continues to grow.
Fragments of children’s reflections emerge from the clouds, asking simple but profound questions: What is the internet, and what might it look like? What is AI, and who shapes it? What might technology become in the future? And perhaps most simply: what do clouds dream about?
The clouds become both storytellers and listeners, carrying a collective imagination shaped by many voices over time. Visitors are invited to rest beneath them, hear the children’s thoughts and add their own dreams to an artwork that is continually learning and evolving.
